My name is Lynn Wright and I had the pleasure of getting to know Beverly at the dialysis clinic. We talked in depth about the joy she had with your families racing careers. Beverly was one the the most courageous women I have ever known. Even through her pain she always told a joke or made funny remarks. I lost my mother 12 years ago from cancer as well. I know your sorrow, but time does heal and the grief does ease. May God Bless you and your family through this difficult time in your lives. One day all will be reunited. My Prayers are with you all. Sincerely, Lynn Wright

I met Beverly Rentzell when I first joined the Scenic City Chorus of Sweet Adelines, Intl. - she was a fun lady to perform with and always added that extra "zing" to everything she did! She sang lead (the melody part) in the chorus, she sewed costumes, she painted beautifully, she always saw the humor in life - especially when life aimed a joke in her direction, she was a fierce advocate and a true friend to all who came in contact with her. She will be missed so much and my heart and prayers go out to her family!

Robert, Kevin, and Lindsey: Words fail me. I have so many fond memories of your family; how can she be gone? My heart grieves with you. The world was a brighter place with Beverly in it. I pray that you'll be comforted by the One True God today and that we'll all meet again in Heaven in the future. John 14:6. Kimberly Renee (Payne) Permenter

Beverly was indeed loved by a lot of people. What I remember most about Beverly was her laugh and her love of life, flowers and her garden. She is truly going to be missed and hopefully now will be able to find peace with her eldest son Bobby who left this world what seems like a lifetime ago. Reading all the posts, not a lot has been said about her 2 other children. Her oldest son Bob, "Bobby" to her often shadowed by his younger brother also raced motorcycles for several years and loved to run his Datsun 240 in autocross races on Broad Street, and Beverly rarely missed a race. She spoke a lot about her oldest son to me over the years and how much she missed him. Although her youngest son, Lindsey didn't race he equally meant a lot to her. She was so proud of him. She spoke about how he was such a help to her and a joy. How he could always make her laugh. Godspeed Beverly - you will never be forgotten.

I was sorry to hear about Beverly's passing. I know she has fought a long hard battle. I was in Sweet Adelines with her and she was a joy and a lot of fun. I have not seen her in many years, but have kept up with her through Jane Miller. My sincere sympathy and prayers are extended to her family.

Oh, Bebby, you finally made it onto the Internet! Robert, Kevin, Lindsey, family members, my heart goes out to you in this difficult time. Please know that Beverly is reuniting with Bob, with her parents, with others who have gone before her. But know most of all that she is reuniting with Jesus, and is in the presence of God, where all she can feel now is JOY! That's the Beverly we all know: happy and cheerful, singing her songs and just generally livening up the whole place. I imagine Heaven is a-hoppin' right now, because this girl was one-of-a-kind! You haven't been to a party until you've been to a party with Bev attending! Oh, the things we have done and the places we have been! The mood was always brighter wherever she went, and everyone has a story about some event they shared with Beverly. But Beverly was so much more than just an incredible amount of fun. She could understand what you were feeling and keep you afloat when you were at wit's end. She could help you see yourself in spite of yourself, too. I feel so very privileged to have known her and to have been able to call her my very best friend in the whole world. Though we've been separated by the miles for years now, our friendship was always the same; all I had to do was pick up the phone and hear her voice, and I knew everything would be okay. How will we ever manage to carry on without her? With God's help, we can, and we must. I pray that you will go to Him whenever you feel the loss is too great. He will send the Holy Spirit to comfort you. Remember, too, to keep Beverly's memory fresh in the hearts of those precious granddaughters that she loved so much. And call me if you need anything, or just to talk. All our love, Sally & Forrie Martin

I was director of the Scenic City Chorus of Sweet Adelines when Beverly was a member. I remember her as a pleasant, talented, fun person. I treasure the painting of a purple iris that she gave me. She was always upbeat in spite of her illnesses and problems. May God bless and comfort all those left, who will miss her, I'm sure, as her many friends certainly will. Joyce Stanbery

I painted with Beverly about 15 years ago. I saw her again at St. Thaddaeus and she still had her wonderful smile in spite of her illness. She will always be remembered by her constant laugh and great attitude. My prayers are with the family. Susan Thurman
