Herman Holcomb, 83, of Hixson passed away Monday, December 24, 2007 at his residence. He was a Navy Veteran and retired from Monroe Business Machines after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rosa Holcomb; brothers, Otis Holcomb and James Holcomb. He is survived by his wife, Earline Holcomb of Hixson; son, Douglas (Pat) Holcomb of Hixson; daughter, Angela Holcomb (Arnold) Dillon of Nashville; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2007 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles Robertson officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be private in Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Friday. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
