It has been a joy to have known Herman. We had many conversations of funny and witty topics, which I believe made Herman laugh and happy, especially in his time of sickness. I think our lives were made better for having these wonderful fun times over the phone and some visits, too. Earlene, you are a precious friend and always will be. I was deeply touched when you told me that Herman wanted you to come to my house near the end. Thanks for sharing this with me. As always you are in my prayers and will be from now on.
