Connie And Vicky, I have heard a lot about your mom, even though I didn't personally know her. Connie is one of my dearest and truest friends. And Connie, you look like her. My heart grieves for you, but knowing you will join her, makes the grief lessen. Love and prayers to you girls at this sad time.Barb Still

It was my pleasure to meet Doris a year ago as my husband, John, was privileged to serve as Doris' Family Deacon at First Baptist Church, Soddy Daisy. On one occasion, we stopped by Manor House to visit and John was wearing his game shirt that read "S/D Baseball". Doris said "Soddy Daisy Baseball. How I love Soddy Daisy and I love baseball". When she learned we were on our way to a game, she shared that she would like to go with us and that she played softball. That opened a door because I too played softball. We shared stories and she suggested that I put us a team together. I laughed and told her I would have to hit a home run to make it to first base. On a later visit, I told her I had us a team and we would be the "Heavenly Angels". April 9th, that team acquired its first baseman and I hope she will hold a spot on the roster for a catcher. I thank God that even though our friendship was brief, it was such a blessing to spend time with Doris. Prayers and sympathy to the family. Shirley Rawlston

Connie, I wish I had found my Caves family while there was time to get to know your Mother. As we grow closer as cousins maybe you will share special memories with me. My heart is saddened that you have to endure losing her. My Mother has been gone five years and I still miss her everyday. I pray for you and Vicki to find peace and comfort as the days unfold. Time is the only thing that will ease the sorrow. The picture of her is beautiful. She is at rest and whole again in the arms of God.

The Caves family is one of the Propst's family's oldest friends. That friendship began in the early forties , when Wayman Caves and Eugene Propst served together as comrades' in Germany during WW11. Our families started visiting when the children were very young . We have lots of fond memories. On behalf of my family I would like to offer our most sincere condolences to the family during the home going of our dear friend Doris Caves. Sincerely; Mickey Propst
