Frank Smith, 95 of Chattanooga passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Franklin, TN to the late James and Mae Morris Smith. Frank was a member of St. Elmo Church of Christ. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran having served in the Pacific Theater. He was also a member of the VFW. Frank had worked for Chattanooga Glass Company and Pinkerton Security for many years. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Polly Smith; sons, Steve (Donna) Smith, and Bobby Joe Smith; three grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Wooten; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 12:30 P.M. Thursday, August 25, 2016 in the chapel of Wann Funeral Home with Minister John T. Smithson and Minister David Parr officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to St. Elmo Church of Christ, 4713 St. Elmo Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37409. The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 P.
