Obituary of Alvin T. Rosamond

Alvin T. Rosamond, 72, of Hixson passed away Friday, August 19, 2016. He retired from TVA and was the Fire Chief at Dallas Bay Fire Department for 33 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Marie Rosamond and father, Alvin Philip Rosamond. He is survived by his sons, Alvin (Misty) Rosamond of Hixson and Terry Gallion of Tyrone, GA; daughter, Renee (Jody) Avery of Hixson; grandchildren, Alvin T. Rosamond II and Avery Rosamond; brothers, Rickie (Mary Lynn) Aucoin of Mississippi and George (Pam) Aucoin of Baton Rouge; brothers-in-law, Johnny (Tyra) Gallion of Dandridge, TN; Charles (Jenny) Gallion of Chattanooga and Mark Gallion of North Georgia; sisters-in-law, Janice (Jim) Jones of North Georgia; Wanda (Jim) Mills of Hixson and step-mother, Carrie Rosamond. A service to celebrate Al's life will be held at 1PM on Monday in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Christopher Schmeichel officiating. Military honors will be provided by the United States Navy. The family will receive friends from 11AM until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
