Please accept sincere condolences to all of you during this time of grief. Death leaves a hurt and void in our lives it doesn't matter who we are or where we are. Sickness, suffering and death was never God's original purpose. However he has made provisions to undo all suffering and to remove death forever. This promise is written in the Bible at Revelation 21:3,4. And Isaiah 33:24 tells us that no one living on earth will say: “I am sick." A life of eternity is before all who are obedient to the requirements of our loving Creator.

I worked at TVA Sequoyah Nuclear Plant 1972-1978, Sequoyah Training Center 1978-1994, then returned to the plant until I retired. Mostly, I worked in and around the Maintenance Group from 1972-1994. I have many memories from the Training Center, as I was anywhere from a clerk helping with lesson plans and tests, to the group Secretary. I was more than honored to do the work for Al and others and I loved and respected all of them. My heart was very touched as I read of Al's passing. I want the family to know that I am thinking of them at this time and praying for peace that only God can provide. Sincerely, Carolyn Eddings

Renee I cannot imagine the pain at the loss of your dad. What a great man. I had such fond memories of him assisting us in Girl Scouts. Later , he helped my mom from a horrible car accident when she was trapped in the car. The whole DBFD top notch- but he brought such a peace to her when he was helping her. When I found out it was Al that helped I knew she was in good hands. Forever grateful to him. Praying for Gods peace during this time for you and your family.

I worked with Al from 1997 through 2002 in Sequoyah Maintenance Training. Al was always a straight shooter and very professional in his work. He projected a rather tough-guy demeanor on first approach, but was actually an old softy, just a really nice guy always willing to listen and help anyone. And he helped and showed kindness to so many. May God bless Al's family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Phil Crabtree Soddy Daisy

Bob Sheets I too met Al through the Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Dept. Al was a hard nose man with a heart of gold.He would stand toe to toe with any elected official in the county to get what he needed to protect his firefighters, and in turn, protect the people of his community. At the same time,he would drop whatever he was doing to run and help anyone who needed his help.We have lost a great man and he will be missed by many.Thank you Al Rosamond for making me a better person.

This is the man I was referring to in my previous text. He and his wife Shirley were my best friends in a time of my life when I was struggling so hard. They gave me a hand up and helped me get back on my feet. I to was on the Dallas Bay fire dept for several years. In my opinion no finer people could be found. He was strict with us in training but it was because he did not want to lose any of us due to the lack of proper training. Al you and Shirley will always have a place in my heart. I love you both.

Al and I worked at training center together. I was not feeling at all well and knew Al was with DBFD. I went to him and explained how I felt. He took my blood pressure which was dangerously high. He sent me to ER which confirmed the blood presure problem. I was placed on medication which corrected the problem. I will always be greatful for Al's know-how and friendship and for very possibly saving my life. Peace, my friend, and God's speed.

I will never forget the first time I met Bug Al he came to my home to pick up Renee because she had to drive a friend home. I was a little scared at first but then he had that small smile that told me I was ok. Going to miss him.
