Our Mother - Our Angel
FOREVER
Born: June 25th, 1939
Died: March 2nd, 2022
82 Years of Age
Her Mother: 1st Female Pharmacist in Tennessee

And Now... A NEW SPRING
FOR AN ANGEL'S SOUL
It would be wrong to say that Ruth lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined to fight to stay alive for her children and smiled every day. When anyone else would have broken, Ruth stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Ruth, Initially, she had COPD, then in October 2020 she had a seizure in her sleep paralyzing her left leg and arm, so she was flat on her back at home with the care of Mark, Becky, and the great service hospice provided, who can be in that situation for that amount of time. She was the strongest person that I have ever known, our graceful mother, just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight. She will always be an angel and a hero to her children...

Ruth's favorite things were watching and feeding birds, planting and watching flowers grow, taking road trips to Helen, GA., eating ice cream, and pistachio nuts, she was great at doing ceramics, and she was very talented and artistic. She loved her Scottish Heritage and Scottish Celtic music. She loved collecting crystal items ivy plants and orchids. She loved collecting Hummels and German Smokers, and she loved her hats.
Ruth was a wonderful mom, anytime her children wanted to do something or needed, or wanted something she always seemed to make it happen. She was an amazing mother in this material world and still is an amazing mother in the spirit world, our souls will always be bound together, for all eternity.
Ruth's favorite word and the timing in which she used it was "well" not "oh well" just "well" She always made us laugh when she used it. She was extremely empathic, she always said what needed to be said always in a way that never made you feel threatened or manipulated or angry, she was very thoughtful beyond words.
Ruth had a very good childhood and was very much loved by everyone. She started working in her parent's drug store "Owen Pharmacy" Daisy, TN when she was only 6 years of age. She went to High School in Monterey CA, and High School in Germany, where she toured all of the castles in Germany and Austria. She loved talking about her wonderful journeys, she especially loved reliving her experiences, telling her children all of her wonderful stories. At 14 years of age she drove her new car from Daisy, TN to Monterey, CA via "ROUTE 66" just her and her very much Loved dog, Sarge.
There are many more wonderful things to say about Ruth, my Mother, I just can't put into words how precious she was to me and my sister. She was my rock and my Mother, and my Soul Mate, our souls will be bound together for all eternity.
She was the Wind In My Sails!
She will be profoundly missed by her children, See You Soon MOM!
