Dear Family of Caroline Brown,
I remember with gratitude and joy Mrs. Brown's work with the choir at Fellowship Bible Church. She was a very skilled musician and I imagine
that the guys especially tried her patience sometimes but she was always gracious in her work with us. We share in your loss but another great lady
has now joined the Heavenly choir. Sorry I was unable to join you all today
but you have certainly been in my thoughts. John Shaw. Dalton, GA

Your mother, grandmother, or mother-in-law, often told us how proud she was of each of you and your spouse. She often spoke of:
• Tom and his lost luggage in Huntsville,
• Hal's teaching "the gifted" in Dalton,
• David the architect, designer of the interior/ an the addition of her dream log home, living in St. Louis, and
• Young Caroline, the Harpist, playing here, there, and everywhere.
All of you have wonderful memories; please share them with one another during these times and with the rest of us when we see you in the years ahead.
David, your "Loving Memory Tribute" words expressing the fond memories of your mother captured her benefiting others to the "T" —as did the photos in capturing her smile, warmth, and love.
Your mother's full life was overflowing with teaching, serving, and love; one felt her heart earned a well-deserved rest to join brother, Jack, her brother, Gilbert, her mother, her dad and other Saints in Heaven.
Speaking for Bambi, Father, Ed, Allan, Wesley, Dot, FiFi, all sister & brother-in-laws, and Cuz-in-laws, we are all blessed by memories of your mother and time with her.
If you listen closely; one can hear your "Remarkable Mother" playing the piano and your Father singing:
"I'm getting married in the morning!
Church bells are going to ring,
Ding dong! The bells are gonna chime.
Pull out the stopper!
Let's have a whopper!
But get me to the church on time!"

There are too many wonderful memories to list, but here are a few of my favorite memories of my Aunt Caroline. She put on backyard circuses in the summer, and I was a "Trapeze" Artist that would fly through the air without a care. She was the only mom I ever knew that would let her child have a pet monkey...known as the neighborhood "Peeping Tom."
Caroline was a fiery spark full of love, determination, with a unique and individual personality. She was fun loving, adventuresome, beautiful, smart, challenging, empathetic, encouraging; and told the best stories with great embellishment.
It was important to her that we know our family history and to understand what our ancestors had to endure to give us the life we now enjoy. Caroline was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and matriarch of the family. She was as selfless as she was determined and left her mark on so many people. I am so blessed to have had her in my life; she strengthened me everyday we spent together.

Caroline was a wonderful, talented, and giving person just like her mom. She knew more about our families (Humphreys, Gentry, Hamill, and Maddox) history than anyone else. My biggest regret is that I didn’t get to visit with her again and talk to her on the phone. She told me about buying the electric keyboard at a pawn shop for $35, taped her microwave rack to back for sheet music, and then would take it to nursing home to play music for Jack and patients.
The love that went into everything she touched is something all of her family can be proud of for generations to come.
