Nancy (P.K. as we called her) was a classmate of mine at Rogersville High School. I remember her with fondness and kindness. She was a very kind, special and fun classmate and I'm sure those traits followed her throughout her life. I just learned of her passing and the family are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear love one and I send my sincere condolences to you and your whole family. Revelation 21:4 is a very beautiful and encouraging scripture, it says: " And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will morning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Alec, Phyllis just told me of Nancy's passing. I am so very sorry to hear this, and want you to know that you have our deepest sympathies. She was much, much too young for all this, and I have a personal sense of how hard this will be for you and your family. Nancy was so quick to get to know and be friends with when she came to Athens. I have always enjoyed those odd moments when we would run into each other across the years. Please try to take care of yourself, and please let me know if I can every be of any help to you. Dear Alec, Nancy was such a dear person...I remember when she came to McMinn High because her dad was transferred to the church in Athens. How sweet and cheerful she always was, especially considering having to start a new school her senior year of all things. I never saw her over the years in Chattanooga when she didn't have a smile.
