Obituary of Dorothy Ellen Hatch

Dorothy Ellen "Dot" Hatch, 84, passed away in a local healthcare center on Thursday, June 14, 2012. She was born to the late DeWitt and Blanch Hatch in Buffalo, NY where she attended schools including the Albright Art School. Dot taught art briefly. She retired in 1984 after working 21 years as a drafting specialist at the Lockheed Martin Corporation, Marietta, Georgia. In 2005 she moved from Marietta, GA to Ooltewah, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Harris and brother-in-law, Jerry Harris. Survivors are her sisters, Jean Hatch and Suzann Hatch, both of Hixson, TN. nieces, Sandra Lawrence of Townsend, MA; Cynthia Harris of W. Peterborough, NH; Dorothy Harris of Circleville, Ohio. nephews, James Harris of Bogart, GA; Daniel Harris of Danielsville, GA. Thirteen great nieces and nephews. Dot's greatest joy was in the sharing of her strong faith in God through his messages. Her Legacy: her beautiful paintings freely given to so many. At Dot's request, there will be no visitation or services. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Standifer Health Center and Hospice of Chattanooga for their kind and compassionate care.
