MS DOT WAS SENT FROM GOD ABOVE TO BE THE GUIDING FORCE IN MY LIFE WHEN I NEEDED IT THE MOST! HER PASSION FOR GOD AND HIS PEOPLE ALONG WITH THE GIFT AS A TALENTED ARTIST IS PARAMOUNT. I SOUGHT HER PRAYERS FOR A GROUP HOME FOR ABUSED YOUTH. SHE CAME AND DREW A PICTURE OF THE HOUSE AND A LIGHT HOUSE OF WHICH I USED ON MY BROCHURES. I WILL FOREVER BE BLESSED FOR ALL SHE MEANT TO ME AND MY FAMILY. MY LIFE IS SO MUCH RICHER, GOD'S WORD MORE PROFOUND & I WILL LOVE HER AND CHERISH HER ART FOREVER! RIP

I met Miss Dot while I was working at the Ooltewah-Collegedale branch of the Public Library. She painted the most beautiful picture of the library. It hangs in the foyer today. She was a wonderful person and a sweet, caring soul. I will miss her!

So sorry about your loss; if your sister was anything as loving and kind as you, she was a special lady and will be greatly missed by many. Our love and prayers.

I knew Dot at Lockheed Martin aircraft. I was in Engineering Design and she did drafting for our group. Dot was a very talented lady and performed well on any job that she was assigned. I treasure the many years that we worked together. She drew a portrait of me free of charge which I cherish a lot. Bob Hill

Jean, it is with great sadness and a very heavy heart that I send this condolence. I know you will miss her dearly and you were with her and took care of her till the end. I remember meeting you only once and I pray you know just how much Ms. Dot meant to me. She was more than a great friend, she was like a grandmother to me. I met her years ago in Publix Supermarket in Marietta, GA. My son was one of the first pictures she painted in 1995. I know God put her in my spirit on June 10th, I tried so hard to get your phone number. I woke up crying and telling my daughter I needed to see Ms. Dot to tell her "I Love her"! I cry now thinking about that moment and then getting this announcement and letter today. She really was a "rare" jewel in my life. It was not color barrier with her, the love of God, people and her art was her joy. She exemplified my saying that "you don't care how much a person knows, until you know how much they care". I know she cared for me and thousand others! I miss her now and know she is with God. I will forever be grateful for all our long talks, visits for cake and tea, prayers, her wisdom and most of all her love! Ms. Dot, you may be gone from earth but never from my heart!! I love you more than words can express or anyone would ever know. Jean, thanks for sharing her last wishes with us and I am truly blessed that she came in my life. God has his angel, I will see her when I get to heaven. Death is gain when you are with the Lord! Love, Linda Brown
