Martin Edward King, 59, of Sale Creek passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother, Robbie Walden. Survivors include his father, Edward (Charlotte) King of Soddy-Daisy; sisters, Lisa (Jeff) Jones of Red Bank and Linda (Tana) Walker of Chattanooga; nephew, Trey Beach and nieces, Ashley and Heather Jones; step-father, Larry Walden. Services will be private. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, Hamilton County Emergency Services, Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services, STARS, Meigs County Emergency Services, TWRA, Soddy-Daisy Volunteer Fire Department, Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department, Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, two boaters from Dalton, area churches, family and friends for all of their tireless effort and dedication during the search and rescue efforts. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions are made to your choice of the following Volunteer Fire Departments, Sale Creek, Soddy-Daisy, Sequoyah or Dallas Bay.
