Martin, I will miss the times we did get to spend together. I will remember the joy I saw in the faces of Ed and Charlotte and Lisa and Linda when you moved back here from Atlanta. I never told you this but I'm proud to have you as my brother-in -law and you will be deeply missed by all of us. Thank you for the love and laughter your family remembers and you will never be forgotten.

I will never forget the vacation that we took to Piney Pointe in 1990. We spent our time fishing, having delicious meals, sitting on the porch and talking into the night. Probably my favorite memory was learning how to water ski, even though Momma told me not to get on the water skis. Martin will truly be missed. I love y'all and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I only Martin a short amount of time while I worked at RIVER emergency hospital. He would bring Lil in and he was always so patient, soft spoken and very nice to me. I was the receptionist there and as you could imagine I had to be the brunt of a lot of people's frustrations. However, Martin was always so pleasant and caring!! This is truly a tragedy that has broken my heart. I would like the family to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I am comforted by knowing God has a wonderful angel with him now.

Martin, even though we didn't get to see each other often you were still one of my favorite cousins. I'll always treasure the good times we had at Grandmother & Grandaddy Kidwell's. I even remember riding your go-cart in Chattanooga when we were very little. Be happy and know you are loved and will be missed by all of us.

Martin You did love being on the water, at the lake or at the ocean, you were so happy there. You also had a lot of fun aggravating Linda and I as only a brother could. There are so many memories of you that I will keep in my heart and so many stories that I could share but I just want to say I miss you and I love you so much!

Dear Family, None of you have ever met me, but I had to send you a quick note to say how sorry I am for your loss of Martin. I work at the veterinary hospital where he recently spent a lot of time after his cat, Lil, had surgery. Martin seemed like such a nice man. He was always friendly but very soft-spoken, and he really loved his cat. My co-workers and I grew very fond of him as we saw him week after week, and we were shocked to hear of his accident. We are so sorry, and know that you will miss him terribly.

Ed, Charlotte, Larry, Lisa and Linda: Just like you, my heart is truly broken. Martin was a very special person in my life and I'm having a really hard time with this situation. Although he had not been in my life in the last twenty-eight years, he was in my heart and my thoughts each and every day. I now have a feeling of emptiness that will not be refilled and a great loss in my soul. I lost track of you after you moved from Red Bank and did not know how to reach you. Many times I wanted to just stop by to talk about how Martin was and where his life had taken him. Please know that I feel (only a portion of) your pain and sadness. I do know that he loved his entire family very much. I could just see his smile as he was able to fish with you (Ed). He always thought you were "the man"! May God bless and watch over all of you during this very sad time. With love and deep respect, Nadine

I am so sorry to hear about Martin. I didn't even know he had moved to Sale Creek. I remember going to his house in Atlanta and having such a good time and laughing so much. I also remember him taking me and Lisa to his place in Fort Myers. We had a great time and he took us out in the ocean on his boat. He was a great host. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.
