Donnie, With my deepest sympathy and sorrow at your loss. May God provide you enough strength to face these difficult times, although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer. May you be comforted by the cherished memories and love you both shared.

I know it goes without saying that Sue was a uniquely special person. She worked with us in the Community Development Office for just over a year but her presence was so huge. Her determination and will to fight and endure without complaining has been commented on constantly. Our prayers are with you as you walk through this process.

I first met Sue when she came to work for The Department of Neighborhood Services and Community Development. Sue was always pleasant and always had a smile and kind word for everyone that she met. She was one of those rare individuals that people are always glad to see. Not only did I work with her, but I considered her a friend. My mother was also battling cancer, breast cancer that had metastasized into bone and stomach cancer. Knowing what Sue was going through, I would always volunteer to help her but she didn't want to inconvenience anyone. She always asked me about my mother, and I lied to her and told her that my mother was doing fine because I didn't want her to worry about me when she needed to focus on herself. Sue was just a kind, loving, giving, generous person and my life has been blessed by having known her.

Sue was one of the true brave hearts who believed one should fight each day to conquer their adversities, and so she did...believing each day, without complaining, that if she kept her faith and her strength she would overcome that which fate had dealt her...now that the time has come for her lay down her sword from her battle, she leaves those of us here who prayed and wished for her to receive a miraculous recovery...though God had other plans for Sue, she accepted it with a smile on her pretty face, and has gone on to be welcomed by our loved ones who have gone before and now lovingly embrace our sweet, sweet, Sue. Such a lovely lady. Our heartfelt condolences to Don, Gabriella, and all of Sue's family.
