Memories as children. I want to send my love and deepest sympathies to Brian's family. I grew up with Brian and have a lot of fun memories of us as kids. I am so shocked and devastated to have found out we have lost him way to early in life. I am so sorry that I did not get to know the man he grew into but from the pictures it looks like he had a lovely family. God bless you Brian.

Brian asked me several times over the last year and a half to walk with him on this path his life was on...I didn't know I was leading my best friend into the arms of God.

Brian always loved boats! Brian was always like the big brother I never had. He was always there when I needed someone to talk to or just get out of the house with. One night, I don't recall exactly what gave us the idea, I imagine just his love of boats and water, we took a small boat out on the lake in Soddy. It was already late and dark, but it was the summer time and I think we were just bored. We got fairly far out and the motor died! Brian couldn't get the motor to start for nothing! I kept thinking the boat was going to flip and we'd have to swim for it! We just laughed and laughed. We had to row ourselves back to shore- seemed like it took forever- and all I kept thinking was I was going to get in trouble for being out so late! Although I've not seen Brian in about a year, I always thought of him with only the highest regard. He was one of the most loyal and fun people I've had the pleasure of knowing. I miss his big booming voice and chuckles already.

Never have I had a friend so devoted to making sure I'm ok, even when he wasn't. Brian was "My Best Good Friend" and I loved him dearly.

Dear David, Lynne and Kristen, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I can't help but remember the little brother who enjoyed being at Cades Cove on our Girl Scout camping trips, riding his bike and collecting walnuts. What a happy, energetic little boy he was and I am sure that followed him during his adult life. I pray that the recollection of many happy times will be comforting to you in the days to come. My best to your mom and dad, David. Your dad taught my Sunday School class at Red Bank Church of Christ. May God comfort you all. Love, Dixie Witt, Kristen's scout leader for many years.
