Obituary of Floyd Philip West

Floyd Philip West, 63, of Ooltewah passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 in an area hospital. Mr. West was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was an adamant Vols fan and a strong Christian man. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph William West and Mabel Olavene Tate. Survivors include his wife, Anna Kidder West; son, United States Army Specialist, James Joseph West; daughters, Virginia McComb (Nathan) Kring and Martha Claire McComb Cofer; brothers, Tim (Debbie) West and Joseph (Nancy) West; grandchildren, Kira, Jade, Marie, Nathan, Ceilidh and Sage; several beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many precious friends. Praise and worship services will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Butch Varner officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home. The family request that everyone joining them for the service wear Tennessee Vols colors.
