Joseph Francis Bakes, Jr., 65, of Hixson passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011. Mr. Bakes was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed his retirement, fishing and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Karen Bakes; daughters, Stephanie (Joel) Arnold of Soddy-Daisy and Stacey (Jason Alan) Rambo of Hixson; grandchildren, Lydia Franks and Colton Rambo; sister, Mary Pete Carbone; uncle, John Tankersley. A service to celebrate Mr. Bakes life will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Schimmer officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
