The Last Child of the Dailey Clan of James Lester Dear Uncle Jim altho I haven't saw you for years, you were thought of. I know you had a wonderful welcoming party when you got to heaven. My Mom, your Sister Viola was there I know....I remember during a trip we came to visit you You had your little brown dog. The little brown dog was your dog, cause it snipped and growled at others if they touched you. To your family I offer my condolances and sympathy. May God's love surround and support them in this time of grief. I'll meet you in the sweet by and by.

Old Tom Cat I was young. Maybe three or four years old. An old stray cat started coming around. He was fluffy and smoky gray. Everyone referred to him as the "old tom cat." Therefore, I named him... "Tom." Tom would disappear days at a time - he was out "catting" around. Sometimes he would be a lil fussy when I was petting him. He tried to bite and scratch me a couple of times. Gramps was not happy that Tom wanted to hurt his pride and joy. The next thing I knew, no more Tom. I always wondered why Tom quit playing with me. I really missed him. Do you know Gramps denied having anything to do with Tom's disappearance... until last week. "You know I had to 'take care' of Tom," Gramps said as I sat by his side in the hospital room. "I always kind of figured you did," I said. Oh, the love we have and the need to protect those we love...

Dear Dailey Family Words can't express how sorry I am for the loss of Mr. Dailey. He was a very special man. Thinking of him and Ruby brings back so many fond memories. I remember my sister, who is in Heaven now, saying how much she thought of Ruby and Jimmy. Please know that you are all in my prayers at this time. I know God will surround you with His presence.

Dear Jim and family. Just received the news of your Dad passing today. I have fond memories of just passing his house and he would always wave and have that wonderful smile. We shall miss him as I know you do but what beautiful memories you must have of this great man. My most fond memories would be of his tender care he gave his garden each year. He surprised my family with some fresh potatoes one year and they were the best potatoes I have ever eaten. How kind he was. Ruby I know you miss him but one day we will all be re-united and what a reunion that will be. You raised a fine family and one that would do anything for anyone just as Jim would have. God bless you all and God wrap His comforting arms around you until that great day when we meet again.
