Anne D. Sackett passed on October 18, 2010 in the care of Hospice of Chattanooga. Anne was a native New Yorker, born in Manhattan on January 28, 1926, the youngest daughter of Richard and Mary Duff. She attended Textile High School where she met David Sackett. They married on March 18, 1944. After his Air Force tour they began to raise a family. Anne and David had four children and she worked as a homemaker and dental assistant. After David died, she moved to Hixson. Anne was gracious, tolerant and witty. She was a compassionate mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Anne is survived by all of her children, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Daughters: Barbara (Bernard) Wysocki and their daughter Susy Wysocki and their son, Thomas Wysocki, Linda (Michael) Scales and their son James, and Elizabeth (Thomas) Heffernan and their daughter Maureen Heffernan and her son, Thomas Jackson, and Melissa (Shawn) Deaton and their daughters Madeline, Mya and Molly. Son: Richard Sackett and his sons, Gabe and Jovian Sackett A receiving of friends is set for Friday, October 22, 2010 from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Donations may be made to USO, P.O.
