Annamae -mother of my good friend Linda Sackett Scales. I met her a few times in Marietta, OH. when she came to visit - memorably just after James' birth. Classy, kind, impeccably dressed -and I'm thinking : so Linda's bizarre sense of humor ? straight forward assessment? could this be? Yes, it was. Later I was a guest at her home in North Carolina -a welcome guest although she was out of town- she left us notes and food and a shining house -a place for everything and everything in its place. A bottle of wine on the counter, a corkscrew, and a note to enjoy. A peace to come to children & grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Chris
