Ronald Wayne Fortenberry, 63, of Soddy Daisy passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at his home. Mr. Fortenberry was a graduate of Mississippi State University. He retired from TVA as Nuclear Engineer after 34 years of service. He was a faithful member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Sammie Fortenberry of Soddy Daisy; his son Chuck Fortenberry of Soddy Daisy; brothers Dale (Judy) Fortenberry of Pearl MS, and Pat (Ruth) Fortenberry of Newnan, GA; grandson John Michael Blankenship of Virginia; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and one great-great nephew. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Fortenberry will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday evening, October 8, 2010 at Dallas Bay Baptist Church with Dr. Ken Duggan officiating and Dr. David McNabb, Reverend Ron Namanny, Mike Martin, Hoyt Samples and Chuck Fortenberry as speakers. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Friday at the church.
