Russell Allen Leslie, beloved husband and father, passed away Wednesday, September 22nd at his home in Sale Creek, Tennessee. Russell was born on July 3, 1943 in Tulare, California. Russell began his career as a boilermaker before becoming a field consultant in the fuel supply industry. Russell and his wife, Kathleen were married for 28 years. They moved from Arizona to Hixson, Tennessee in 1984 where they lived for 18 years until they moved to Sale Creek, Tennessee. Russell was preceded in death by both of his parents, Uralee and Verna Leslie. Russell was a generous, kind-hearted man who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen and five children: Russell (Della) Leslie of St. George, Utah; Terri (Jeff) Prigge of Surprise, Arizona; Susan (Phil) McGrath of Searcy, Arkansas; David Kern of Fairforest, South Carolina; and Samantha (Devin) Martin of Ringgold, Georgia; brothers, Michael (Patti) Leslie of Tucson, Arizona and Lester (Traci) Leslie of Buckeye, Arizona. He also has 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family would ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the John Hopkins Pancreatic Research Center, 401 N. Broadway, Weinberg 2242, Baltimore, MD 21231 or online at pathology2.jhu.edu. An open house to celebrate Russell's life will be held at the family home on Friday, September 24th from 5-9 PM.
