Richard 'Ringer' Wilkey, 52, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010 from injuries sustained in a boating accident. He was the custodian at Falling Water Elementary School for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on the lake. Survivors include his brothers, Melvin Wilkey of Soddy-Daisy and James Wilkey of Sale Creek; sisters, Hazel Tate, Jewell Reynolds and Rosie Lovelady, all of Soddy-Daisy; Emmalee Hodge of Sale Creek and Janie Laymon of Bakewell and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 25, 2010 in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the search and rescue teams for all of their tireless effort and dedication.
