I will miss my cousin Jewell. Wayne and I were always welcome to stay at her home in Soddy. She always fixed dumplings for Wayne and fried okra for me when we came. We always had a good time with Aunt Rose, Jewell, Eleanor, Ruby and with Kenny and Gary and their families.
Dear Jewell...that's a perfect name for you, because you were a JEWEL..Dear friend to my mother, Mildred Hackney Hunter..your parents were dear friends to my grandparents, Glad and Etter Hackney...wow...that goes back a number of years...great memories of the wonderful singings we had around the piano after church...Loved you dearly...Marlene
