Marguerite Emma Wilson was born on October 2, 1924, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 85 years of age. She was a life long resident of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee and the daughter of the Late Floyd and Tilda Eustice Davis. In her younger days she worked at numerous hosiery mills in Soddy and Chattanooga area. The last being the Soddy Marine Hosiery Mill. Her later years were spent as an employee of Owen Pharmacy and Daisy Prescription Shop. Among the many names she held affectionately were Marguerite, Moma, granny and 'the Hen.' She was the widow of Jack Wilson and E.C. Smith. Preceding her in death were her brothers, James Harold (Craze) Davis, Lonnie M. Davis, Thomas E. Davis and Bobby L. Davis. sisters, Peggy Joyce Davis, Soddy; Beatie Jewell Lewis, Dallas, TX; and Allie Ruth Fling of Tampa, FL. Survivors are a sister, Lois Kennedy, sister-in-laws, Myrtle Davis and Barbara Davis; one son, Jackie Ray Wilson of Soddy-Daisy; three daughters, Frankie Pope of Chattanooga; Doris Wilson of Soddy-Daisy and Dixie Baker of Dayton, TN; three grandchildren, Jackie LaVaughn Wilson, Becky Everett and Darla Eldridge; four great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 14 in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. DeWayne Renfro officiating. Interment will follow in Wilcoxen Cemetery with Darrell Davis, Alan Davis, Steve Arnold, Marty Everett, Wayne Eldridge and Jackie LaVaughn Wilson will serving as pallbearers. Jackie R. Wilson and Michael Kennedy will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-9:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by locally owned and operated Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN.
