Marion Sue Scott Wright, beloved wife of Robert E. Wright went to be with our Lord, Saturday, September 6 at a local hospital. Marion Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Hair Scott, her grandparents Professor and Mrs. J L Hair and Mr. and Mrs. James Scott of Sand Mountain, Alabama. Marion Sue is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 53 years, Robert (Bob) Wright of Soddy Daisy, son Mark (Kym) Wright of Oxford, Michigan, son Kevin (Cindi) Wright of Dalton, Georgia, and daughter Shawn (Larry) Lasseter of Palm Harbor, Florida; father and stepmother Judson and June Scott of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters Judy Scott of Ottawa, Canada and JimAnn (Glen) Owens of Milford, Ohio; and brother Jud (Mary) Scott of Nashville, Tennessee. Marion Sue was beloved 'Granny Sue' to 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Many nieces and nephews loved her dearly. Marion Sue was the cousin of Jimmie and Tommy Irwin, John Mack and Judy Teague, and Suzanne and Paul Ed Parrott of Soddy Daisy. She is also survived by her Aunt Christine Scott Dake and Louise Scott Berry of Sand Mountain, Alabama. A memorial service will be held at the Soddy United Methodist Church, Monday September 8th at 2:00 with the Reverend Ken Scoggins presiding. The Martha and Mary's Bible Study Class, started by Marion Sue, will be honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to made to the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center via the MaryEllen Locher Foundation, PO Box 4032, Chattanooga TN 37405.
