Obituary of Bessie Lou Freeman

Bessie Lou Freeman, 84, of Hixson passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 at her residence. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and active in the Soul Winners Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Freeman; daughter, Mary Smith; son, Junior Eugene Freeman; brothers, Carl, Howard, Clarence, Sam, and Frank; sisters, Ethel, Violet, and Beulah Mae. Survivors include her daughters, Ruby (Ronald) Boren of Hixson; Sherrie (Keith) Freeman of Dacula, GA; brothers, Herbert Belcher of Tellico Plains, TN, Wilson Belcher of Greenville, TN, and Joe Belcher of Defunak Springs, FL; sister, Bonnie Gourley of Maryville, TN; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Messer and Rev. Billy Dean officiating. Interment will follow in Hall Cemetery on Signal Mountain. The family will receive friends from 6-9 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
