Obituary of Helen Russell McNair

Helen F. McNair, 86, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in an area hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Cleveland, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. McNair, Sr.; parents, Horace Greely and Arvena Finnell,; brothers, H.G., W.C., and Kenneth Finnell. Survivors include her son, John L. McNair, Jr.; grandchildren, John Lee, Cynthia Ann, Chris McNair and Ellen Houchins of Chattanooga; sister, Hazel Finnell of Cleveland, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Herman and JoAnn Finnell of Harrison, TN; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 11:30 AM on Monday in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Karyn Bogart officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM- 11 AM on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society. A very special thanks goes to her dear friend, Jennie Pritchard for all her kindness and care.
