Obituary of Donald Eugene Green

Donald Eugene Green, 53 of Hixson, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2008. He died unexpectedly at his home. He attended Hixson High School and was a barber and decorator. His hobbies were buying and selling antiques, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Ruth Green; his mother and father, Hoyte and Ruth Green; brothers, Ronald and Glenn Green; uncle, Eugene Hammond; Maternal Grandparents, Eugene and Flora Hammond and Paternal Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Freeland Green, all formerly of Hixson. Donald is survived by a sister, Brenda Green (Bob) Cox, Rossville, Ga; personal friend, Jerry Gaddis of Hixson; niece, Jennifer (Ric) Metcalf of Ringgold, Ga; nephew, Ronnie (Deanna) Sunderland of Ringgold, Ga; great-nieces, Zoie Metcalf and Laci Sunderland; great-nephew, Noah Sunderland; aunt, Ann Hammond of Hixson; cousins, Jane Stragand, Faye Hammond, Terri Gilliam, A.F. Green, Craig Green and Saralynn Kelley. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, July 3, 2008 in the funeral home chapel with Ric Metcalf officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
