Marian Elizabeth Christner, 94 of Soddy-Daisy passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at her residence. She was a member of Hyndman United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Woodrow Christner Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lynn (Alice) Christner of Soddy-Daisy; brother, Rev. Eugene May, of Leesburg, Virginia; grandson, Terry (Nena) Christner of Whitwell, TN; great-grandchildren, Josh Christner and Desiré Christner. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, June 27, 2008 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Terry Avans officiating. Interment will follow in Condra Cemetery in Dunlap. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Thursday and from noon until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial contributions to Hospice of Chattanooga, P.O. Box 19269, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
