Obituary of Leonard Alfred Jones

Mr. Leonard Alfred Jones, Sr., 84, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away, Friday, June 6, 2008 at his residence. He was the son of the late William L. Jones and Gracie M. Jones Posey. Mr. Jones served in the Army during World War II. Leonard was an Ordained Minister and recently he attended Gospel Assembly of God. He is retired from the Crane Company. He is preceded in death by three daughters, Grace Jones, Linda Johnston, and Delores Caruso; and brother Roy Lee Posey. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Imogene Morris Jones; daughters Peggy Hood, Ruthie Thomas, and son, Leonard Jones, Jr.; brother, Bill Jones; five grandsons; four granddaughters, one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held, 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 9th, 2008 in the chapel of Legacy Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Essex officiating. Interment will follow in Dividing Ridge Cemetery.
