Obituary of Mart Doyle Thrasher

Mart Doyle Thrasher, 70, of Soddy-Daisy passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. He was the pastor of the Attalla Church of God in Attalla, AL. He was the pastor of several churches in our area over the past 40 years. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Thrasher; sons, Jerry Thrasher and Michael Thrasher, both of Lenoir City, TN; grandchildren, Chelsea, Haley and Caitlyn Thrasher, all of Lenoir City, TN: brother, Eugene Thrasher of Ohatchee, AL; sisters, Oleana Wehunt of Rainbow City, AL; Dean Smith of Collinsville, AL; Ollie Mae Rowell of Indianapolis, IN and Lou Shutt of Sweetwater, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Charles Pittman, Rev. Charles Patterson and Rev. Melvin Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00-9:00PM at the funeral home.
