Obituary of Luther Wayne Crocker

Luther Wayne Crocker, 72, born January 23, 1942 went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 28, 2014. Survivors include his wife, Vivian, and daughters, Marjorie and Kimberly Crocker; sisters, Carrine Dalton, Mae Watson, Dona Wright and Dana Culpepper and brother, Leonard Crocker. He was preceded in death by parents, Grover and Clara Bell Crocker and brother, James Crocker. Wayne was a member of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church. Wayne spent his career in the produce industry. He started working on the family farm at an early age. He graduated from Davis High School then served in the Army both stateside as a part of the honor guard at Arlington and in Korea. After returning home he obtained his AA in Business from Northeast Alabama Community College. Wayne worked at various local stores and distributors such as Red Food Stores and Dixie Savings Stores before concluding his career as the produce manager at the Lookout Valley Wal-Mart. A memorial service will be held at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church at 11 AM, Wednesday, December 3, 2014 with Reverend Joseph Novenson officiating followed by a private burial at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Covenant College, 14049 Scenic Hwy, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750 .
