I had the pleasure of living next door to Laurie and the Van Eaton family in Bowling Green many, many years ago and, while the memories have grown fuzzy with the passage of time, I do remember Laurie's spirit very well. She was so lovely and vibrant, always laughing and so full of energy, and she had a wonderful feisty twinkle in her eyes. I remember her mischievous spirit--and how she used to love sitting by her open bedroom window when we were teens. She caught me off guard a few times and spooked me good (which of course was hysterically funny)! We had many wonderful chats together through that bedroom window over the years. Laurie, like others in the Van Eaton family, was full of life and love for everyone. It was an honor living next door to them.

Laurie was a feisty one! Although I had not seen her since high school, my memories of her usually involved all three sisters with little David running around in the background. She was outspoken to say the least. She was beautiful and smart and I will remember her hearty laugh and smile when I think of her...

Laurie was a FIREBALL!! Full of pep and enthusiasm...I think she could out-talk anyone she ever met! I also remember her as being very sure of herself and determined (I was never sure of myself, so I noticed that). Even now I see her her in her Raiderett's outfit marching on the field.
