Obituary of Eldon Reed Lippert

Eldon Reed "Hank" Lippert, of Soddy-Daisy and formerly of Wayne, OH passed away March 31, 2008 at his home. Born January 22, 1926 in Helena, OH to Lloyd and Edna (Doll) Lippert. He retired from Ohio Lime Company in Woodville, OH after 50 years of service. A Navy Veteran, her served during WWII aboard U.S.S. LST 668 and was involved in six invasions. He also served in the Korean War. Mr. Lippert was a member of Soddy American Legion Post 107, Ohio LST Amphibians and United States LST Association. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Lois (Ault) Lippert; sons, David Lippert of Bradner, OH; Les Lippert; Joel Lippert of Freemont, OH; Michael Byers and Gary Byers, both of Ligonier, IN: daughter, Lisa Hyman of Soddy-Daisy; sister, Ethel Wiseman of Helena, OH; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, April 4, 2008 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Stancil officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday and from noon until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
