Obituary of Clara Reeves

Clara Reeves, 73, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008 at her home. She was a member of Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Clara was an avid bowler at Hixson and Ft. Oglethorpe Bowling Lanes. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nettie Marie Gothard Rogers Avans and father, Lonnie Hobert Rogers; sisters, Faye Maples, Ruth Laney, Dorothy Rogers, Ilona Avans; brothers, Danny Joe Avans, Ira C. 'Dub' Avans; son, Jimmy DeWayne Reeves and granddaughter, Kristi Tipton. She is survived by her husband, James A. Reeves of Soddy-Daisy; daughters, Melissa and husband Danny Quevedo of Longwood, FL; Kathy and husband Bruce Cravets of Soddy-Daisy; sister, Vala Murphy of Rising Fawn, GA; brothers, Curtis Rogers of Bryant, AL; Harold Rogers of Trenton, GA; grandchildren, Jamie and husband John Upton and Chesa Locke all of Dalton, GA; Cayce and husband Joe Broker, Leslie Lyons and Christopher and wife Marjorie Quevedo all of Apopka, FL; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Locke, Barrett Upton and Ashley Upton all of Dalton, GA; and Little Cylin Broker of Apopka, FL; several nieces and nephews and a loving church family at Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Monday, March 17, 2008 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Stancil officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park.
