Mittie Lou Thurman, 55, of Hixson passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008 in an area health care facility. She was of the Church of God faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay C. and Lucy V. Wells. She is survived by her husband, Marvin Thurman of Hixson; sisters, Janice (Andrew) White of Bridgeport, AL; and Jackie Wells of Chattanooga; two nieces, a nephew, a great-niece and a great-nephew. Graveside services and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today, January 14, 2008 at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
