Obituary of George Reid Phelps

George Reid Phelps, 82, of Alexian Village of Tennessee passed away, December 8, 2007 at Alexian Village Healthcare following a brief illness. George donated his remains to Genesis Donor Program Medical Education and Research. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann Phelps who passed away on December 2nd, 2002 and donated her remains to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is survived by his children, Susan Dale (Stewart) Hess of Rossville, GA; Lawrence Reid (Darlene) Phelps of Colorado Springs, CO; Becki (Andrew) Monroe-Thibodeau of Cartersville, GA; 'Best Friend', Nancy Pollard of AVT; and Beloved Cat, Tortie who was adopted by Dee Dowse of AVT. The family wishes to thanks the staff of healthcare at Alexian Village and Hospice of Chattanooga for the excellent care they provided. A Celebration of Life service for George and Judy Phelps will be held from 1-4 PM Friday, January 11, 2008 in the Gold Room at Alexian Village.
