Obituary of Louise Maxwell

Please share a memory of Louise to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Louise Maxwell, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 25, 2007. She was preceded in death by Hobart, her husband of 50 years. She attended Berry College and used her home economics expertise to extend a sense of charm and hospitality to friends and family alike. Her home was the place to be for special occasions and holiday gatherings and she reveled in all things family. She ministered to others with great joy and embraced her children and their families with unconditional love. Her speech was gentle and nurturing, her laugh frequent, and her prayers eloquent. She lived her faith to the very end. Heartfelt memories are instilled in all who knew her. There is no doubt in the minds of her children that the world is a better place because of Mom. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Dennis and Pamela Henry; Mary Beth and Tom Butler; Jane Maxwell and JB Nation; grandchildren Sarah Henry; Steven R. Sewell; James M. and Emmy L. Nation; great grandson Charles X. Sewell; two sisters, Alma Kilpatrick and Carol Swaim, one brother, John Henry, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 8, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Barry Hildebrandt officiating. A reception with the family will follow the service at the funeral home. Interment will be along side her husband in the National Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, HI. The family wishes to thank the entire wonderful staff at Soddy Daisy Healthcare Center (SDHC); Memorial North Park Hospital; and Hospice of Chattanooga. There are angels living among us in these organizations. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stephanie Gibson (activities coordinator), 701 Sequoyah Road, Soddy Daisy, TN. 37379, to fund social activities for the residents of Soddy-Daisy Healthcare Center. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
