Obituary of Elizabeth N. Senters

Elizabeth N. 'Betty' Senters, 83, of Soddy-Daisy and formerly of Harrison passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 in an area health care facility. She was born on October 2, 1923. Along with her late husband she owned and operated a Quik Stop Grocery on Hixson Pike for many years. She was a member of the OES Chapter #752 , Highway 58 Kiwanis Club and past chairperson of the Harrison voting precinct. Betty was a very loving mother to her children and she will be truly missed by them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen S. Senters, Sr.; son, John S. Senters Esq.; and brother, Paul Naumik; She is survived by her sons, Daved (Wanda) Senters of Soddy-Daisy; Robert (Celia) Senters of Columbus, OH; and Glen Spencer Jr. (Elaine) of Kingwood, TX; sisters, Ann Magarie of Hemstead, NY; and Midge Glover of Deland, FL; a special nephew, Richard Glover of Deland, FL; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and many nephews and nieces. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday August 18, 2007 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Jerry Clements officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Sharon Porter, John Gross, Ron Maxwell, Mike Senters, Randy Glover, Richard Glover, Barry Bennett, and Bruce Wilson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM, Friday, August 17, 2007 and from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
