Betty Jean Petty, 78, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Petty was born in Hamilton county to the Late Edward and Ada Walker West. She was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church and retired from Signal Knitting Mill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Petty and brother, James West. Survivors include her son, Claude Petty of Soddy-Daisy; daughters, Pam Harvey of Dunlap, Joyce Johnson of Hixson; Carla Cooley and Janet Stephens, both of Soddy-Daisy; sisters, Jane Beavers of Louisville, KY; Edna Ruth Bowman and Mary Hindman, both of Soddy-Daisy; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 4, 2007 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Al Goss officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-9 P.M.today and 11-9PM on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the funeral home.
