Theodore (Ted) Michael Edmiston, 73, of Hollywood passed away Saturday, February 3, 2007, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennesssee. Mr. Edmiston served in the U. S. Army following the Korean War and was a member of the Alabama National Guard, 1343 Engineering Battalion. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, with many years of service at Widows Creek, and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 320, Florence, Alabama, since 1959. Mr. Edmiston was a former owner, manager and radio personality of WVSV Radio in Stevenson. Mr. Edmiston was presently working as a "law partner” alongside his son Parker Edmiston, at the Edmiston Law Offices in Scottsboro and Stevenson, Alabama. Mr. Edmiston was a member of the Jackson County Shrine Club, Scottsboro Masonic Lodge, Jackson County Democrat Executive Committee and the Jackson County Democrat Club. Mr. Edmiston is survived by his wife, Naomi McCarter Edmiston of Hollywood; sister, Myra Edmiston of Melbourne, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Phillip Hutto of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Michael Goniotakis of Dutton, Alabama; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Rick Callahan of Flowery Branch, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Parker and Dawn Edmiston of Scottsboro, Alabama; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Gayle Edmiston of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Howard Hughes of Hollywood, Alabama; sons: Mike, Jimmy, Tommy and Kenneth Gray, grandchildren: Gina Elkins, Carrie Mitchell, Jamie Dominski, Stanley Rickman, Jennifer Wright, Payton Edmiston, Brandi Edmiston, Morgan Edmiston, Sierra Edmiston, Whitman Edmiston, Sydney Edmiston, Allyn Edmiston, Dakota Hughes, Molly Hughes, Robyn Hughes and Clint Gray. Mr. Edmiston was preceded in death by his parents, Ebra and Zenith Edmiston. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7, 2007, from 5 o’clock p.m. until 9 o’clock p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2007, at 11 o’clock a.m. at the Christ Episcopal Church, at the corner of Holly Avenue and 3rd Street in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church, 302 3rd Street, South Pittsburg, Tennessee 37380.
