Obituary of Rita Bess Bowman

Rita Bess Bowman, 64, of Dayton and formerly of Soddy-Daisy passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at her residence. She was born on January 29, 1943. Rita was the daughter of the late Otis and Clemmie McDowell. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ivy Jean McDowell.
Survivors include her husband, Walter "Shorty” Lewis Bowman; daughters, Lisa Rains, Rita Lynn Ashley, Amy Teams and Brandy Bowman; Son, Richard Bowman; sisters, Vera Raines, Marie Mathis, Loraine Ottinger and Louise McDowell; brothers, J.B. McDowell, Billy McDowell, Randy McDowell and Larry McDowell; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Christ Family Church in Soddy-Daisy with Bishop Calvin Nunley officiating.
