Obituary of Joy Gaylor Pack

Joy Wesson Pack, 61, of Soddy Daisy died Monday, September 4, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Pack was a gifted and savvy businesswoman; owning J. Wesson Company and Ian-Joy Specialty T-Shirts. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and sunning turtles and loved playing Flaming Sevens in Tunica. "Meemaw” made the best fried okra and squash on the planet. Her spirit was generous, kind and fun-loving. She was courageous throughout her illness, because she accepted it as was "her Lord’s way.” She was a member of Bethesda Christian Fellowship in Knoxville. Her beloved husband, Paul Pack, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Scott and Teresa Headrick Wesson; step-children, Samuel Wesson, Chattanooga, Darlene Parker, Lesa Talley, Florence, Alabama; grandchildren, Ian and Ivy Wesson, Knoxville, Samantha and Davis Wesson, Chattanooga, Michelle Thompson, Ashley Bolton, Bradley Parker and Sam Alex Talley, all of Florence, Alabama; beloved sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Jim Whitaker, Soddy Daisy. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Morris Bagwell officiating.
