Obituary of Laura Loucretia Thorne

Laura Jackson Thorne, 95 of Falling Water, passed away on Wednesday, June 14th, in a local health care facility. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Thorne. The Jackson family were original settlers of the Falling Water community. Laura was a member of Middle Valley Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Dewey of Visalia, Ca; and two sons, David (Martha) Thorne of Falling Water; and Marshall (Sue) Thorne of Soddy-Daisy; eight Grandchildren, sixteen Great-Grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. Her sister-in-law, Beatrice Jackson, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, June 16th, 2006 from 5-8 P.M. Graveside services and interment will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 17th, 2006 in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Minister Larry Clements officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga 4355 Hwy 58 Suite 101, Chattanooga, TN 37416. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center (423) 843-2525
