Seems like the Hamptons, (Ann's parents), the Andersons, the Stephens - all of us grew up together. My sister, Jo Anne Woodward, and Ann were close friends, and I was always wishing they would include me, Jo's youngest sister! I can remember Ann's laugh - such a great person. My sympathies to the family, always. Ann's Mother, Ruby, was one of the most spiritual women I have ever known. She left a wonderful heritage for her friends and family. My Mother, Billie Woodward and Ruby were close friends - even after they all moved to Florida. I can still see "Hamp" (Ann's Dad) sitting out in front of their Florida home, all wrapped up in a blanket because of his arthritis, I guess. Anyway, our goal is Heaven, and Ann just got there first! Words cannot express the hurt I know your family is going through. I can remember way back when my mom and your mom would set and watch all of us either at the old ball fields or at home. my deepest sympathy goes out for your family. The Lord received another angel yesterday when she left here and now two old friends are together again.

Ann you were such an awesome Lady, and their are so many memories that are flooding my thoughts you were a second Mom to me, we could talk about anything and I know their were times you got so mad at me and Lisa, but you always kept letting me come to your home and welcomed me I will miss that huge smile on your face, and also that face when you got mad, (LOL) you were a great Lady and you will be missed, but I will see you again soon, Love Rest in Peace!

Ann was like a big sister to me, she was always in that special place at the top of Glass Street in East Chattanooga, where the Hamptons lived, along with the Brooks, the Andersons, Spriggs and my grandmother Mamaw Stephens. Ann taught me to dance as a teenager and we were always like family. I look forward to the day I will see her and her parents and all those "special" people we all loved.
