Obituary of Mary Gross Cate

Mary Gross Cate, 85, of Chattanooga passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013 in an area hospital. Mrs. Cate was retired from Nation Hosiery Mill and was a long time member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Webb Cate; parents, Lawrence and Leura Gross and sister, Margaret Gross.
Survivors include her son, David (Linda) Cate of Ringgold; daughter, Nancy (Jeff) Burns of Clayton, NC; sister, Betty E. Mashbern of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Kelsay Louise Cate, Joan Elizabeth Cate, Thomas Jackson Burns and Joseph Caleb Burns.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wann Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at the foot of historic Lookout Mountain, St. Elmo. 821-7551
