Obituary of Tony Stewart

Tony (Myron) Stewart, 69, of Soddy-Daisy went from this life to his eternal home August 14, 2013. He was redeemed of the Lord and a member of Oak Street Baptist Church, Soddy Daisy. Tony was a retired member of Ironworkers Local 704, and at the time of his retirement was employed by Tennessee Valley Authority. He was predeceased by his parents, Claude Stewart and Vernon Lasley Stewart; brothers-in-law Stuart Levi and Jim Farley . Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Midge (Doris) Sparks Stewart; daughters Carla (Richie) White, Trion, Georgia; Missi McMillan and Jami (Leroy) King, both of Soddy Daisy; four grandchildren, Toni and Taylor McMillan, Kinsey Stewart, and Luke King. Survivors also include a brother, Eddie (Jeanette) Stewart; two sisters, Judy Levi and Claudia Farley; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Tennessee Oncology Group, fourth floor nurses at Memorial Hospital, and Hospice of Chattanooga. Tony also stressed that the family let everyone know that GOD IS GOOD! Family will receive friends Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joe Sanchez officiating.
