Obituary of Harley Ray Smith

Harley Ray Smith, 80, of Chattanooga passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at his home. Mr. Smith owned and operated several businesses in the Chattanooga area for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Sue Smith; parents, Marvin L.C. and Gearldine Smith; daughter, Denise "Nicy" Boatfield; brothers, Tommy J. and Marvin Smith; granddaughter, LaShane Smith. Survivors include his sons, "Hootie" Ray Alan Smith (Vicki) and Terry Lee Smith (Jill); daugher, Melody Brazell (John); sister, Mary LaVeda Walker; grandchildren, Megan Bishop, Brittany Holcomb, Arthur Roden III, Justin Smith, Candice Boatfield, Eric Jones and Nick Jones; great-grandchildren, Landon Corbin, Sydney Shupe-Holcomb, Maddie Bishop and Makylee Smith. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-8 PM on Monday at Wann Funeral Home.
